SUMMARY: The Fulfillment Technician (Shipping/Receiving) ensures that samples and shipments are received accurately, products and kits are prepared and sent for shipment, and packages are received and documented, all while adhering to Quality and customer success expectations in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for packaging seed to Quality and regulatory specifications. Additionally, this position is responsible for maintaining product kit inventory. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for ensuring turnaround times are met for completing all sales orders. Assists with manufacturing operations such as: weighing seed, packaging, heat sealing, labeling, building inventory, stake and label printing, and shipping. Participates in packaging and shipping of materials. Verify packing slips and certifications for accuracy and maintain all aspects of outbound shipments. Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged goods, record shortages, correspond with the purchasing department to rectify damages and shortages for all inbound shipments. Assist in planning, moving and tracking of production lots in the manufacturing area. Accurately maintaining, tracking, and building inventory of product kits, components, records and reports as required. Responsible for intaking and documenting samples accurately utilizing our internal inventory management system. Assist in optimizing workflows in relation to sample intake, manufacturing processes, and shipping logistics. Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition. Work independently and proactively maintain effective communication across departments. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: High school diploma and at least 1 year of manufacturing or logistics experience. Ability to understand and follow protocols, policies, and procedures with exactness. Attention to detail and ability to multitask. Tech Savvy: Current experience with MS Office, Google Suite. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Must be a self-starter demonstrating initiative with the ability to work in an independent and organized manner. Reliable transportation to get to and from the post office for shipping as needed. Mechanical and technical aptitude preferred. Willingness to learn with good verbal and written communication skills. Basic understanding of local, state, and federal regulations for shipping. DOT/IATA: How to Ship Dangerous Goods by Ground and Air certificate a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to lift up to 50lbs minimum. Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms. Can bend, stoop, and/or climb as needed. May be required to wear protective eye-wear, hearing protection, ability to travel by car, high frequency of computer keyboarding, high frequency of viewing a computer monitor. Work is performed primarily in the office and/or manufacturing warehouse setting. Work is often performed in fast-paced and often stressful situations.
