PNW Metal Recycling is looking for a FT Mechanic to maintain OTR vehicles and heavy equipment repairs. Essential Functions: • Inspects equipment periodically to assess need for maintenance and repair • Replaces worn and damaged parts; disassembles equipment to check for issues and perform testing • Reviews manufacturing guidelines and materials to ensure proper repairs • Troubleshoots issues on various equipment including loaders, forklifts, trucks and shredder • Cleans, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles • Informs shop management of status of repairs, future repair needs and other pertinent information • Keeps accurate records of maintenance performed • Occasionally picks up parts and runs other errands • Adheres to all PNW Metal Recycling, Inc. safety policies and standards • Other duties or cross-training in other positions may be assigned Qualifications: • Experience and/or training in heavy equipment repair; diesel technology training/degree helpful • Ability to handle physical demands of heavy equipment maintenance in an industrial environment • Ability to follow instructions, work independently and contribute as a successful team member • Effective and professional communication skills • Preventative maintenance software knowledge and experience • Excellent prioritization skills and understanding of sense of urgency • Post job offer: ability to pass background check, drug test and provide proof of eligibility to work in the US PNW Metal Recycling is an Equal Opportunity Employer
