Hiring Two Experienced Movers in Roseburg
Jobs
Roseburg OR
Description
WHO WE ARE: Cascade Moving Labor, LLC. is now hiring both Moving Helper and Moving Lead positions for our new Roseburg team. Must have some moving experience. We are a new moving labor company in the Eugene area but have already been getting a good amount of business each month and are looking to add members who live in the Roseburg area. WHAT WE DO: All we do as a moving labor company is load and unload trucks and occasionally move things within a home or office. The customer is responsible for renting a moving truck. We do not drive the truck or transport their items in our vehicles. This allows us to keep our prices low and pay our team members well. Most moves are done in 2-6 hours. This is an extremely physically demanding job. We usually use teams of two people and occasionally three for bigger jobs. This means we can pay you better but all the work is on you and your team member. This is not a position for slackers or people who are accustomed to disappearing on the job and letting other people do the work. If you are not in great shape and not able to lift and control heavy pieces of furniture for hours on end with little to no breaks, this is not the job for you. Sometimes you will just be loading a truck, sometimes just unloading, and sometimes both. Sometimes you will be required to make multiple load/unload trips. We have a two hour minimum for all jobs, so if a job takes fifteen minutes or two hours, you will still be paid for two hours. Sometimes jobs go much shorter than they are scheduled and sometimes they go much longer than they are scheduled. In addition to being in great shape, it is equally important for you to maintain a professional attitude and have great customer service skills. You must be able to communicate and follow directions well. You must be able to make the customer feel taken care of and that they have made the right choice by choosing our company. You must be able to deal with customers that are stressed out and cranky in a professional way. Our company will survive on 5 star customer reviews, and getting those reviews relies on a combination of customer service and professionalism. Poor reviews will impact your future working with us. THE POSITION: This is a part time position that will likely start out slow and get very busy by summer. We are either looking for a team of two people that live in Roseburg, maybe you and your buddy if you both have experience, or we will hire two people separately. You must have reliable transportation as you will be working jobs in a 30-40 mile radius of Roseburg. I (the owner of the company) will be attending the first few moves you do as a paid tryout. If you've never packed a truck before without guidance, this is not the position for you. The starting pay is $24/hr + tips. We receive tips on about 80% of jobs, but the actual dollar amounts vary greatly. All positions have potential to lead to Area Service Manager positions which start at $30/hr + tips with additional incentives for each job booked and completed with 5-star customer ratings. You will be responsible for mapping out and loading the truck properly. You will be able to accurately judge how high or low to pack a truck in order to ensure the customer's goods arrive safely. You will be able to pack a truck from floor to ceiling safely and securely. You will be able to communicate with the customer and respond to any potential issues in a professional manner. This is the perfect side hustle that can turn into something more for motivated self-starters looking to break away from the 9-5 life or responsible students looking to make some cash on the side during the school year and have steady work in the summer. Respond with **Must have reliable transportation to get to job sites** **Must be able to pass a background check** **No smoking on the job site. Period** **Must be willing to wear masks at all times. Period** Respond via email with your experience working for a moving company, why you think you’d be a good fit for the job, and a resume if possible.
