Hiring Materials Handlers for a Manufacturing Warehouse in Garden Grove, CA 92841 A leading producer of high and low pressure aluminum compressed gas cylinders. Multiple Shifts: 1st Shift 4 am-2:30 pm $15.50/hr. 2nd Shift 2:30 pm-1:00 am $16.03/hr. ( Monday -Saturday 6 days) Duties: This position will be responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping, and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, crating product, fulfilling purchase orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment. Responsibilities: -Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to distributing to sales associates for processing. -Crate building and Carpentry -Read shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be distributed and/or shipped. -Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to other designated areas. -Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined product -Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic. -Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves in moving to the shipping department. -Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. -Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. -Always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness. -Wear the proper safety equipment. Qualifications / Requirements: - 1 year minimum in warehouse experience (preferred, but not required) - Knowledge of basic hand tools and safety procedures - Exhibits strong communication skills, essential for working with other employees and with customers. - Strong Knowledge of using Email and Internet (shipping and forwarder requests) - Is detail-oriented and capable of noticing small errors on orders or defective aspects of products. - Consistently lifting product throughout the shifts. **Ability to meet client requirements
