Job Description and Responsibilities: • Organizes, supervises, evaluates, and performs custodial services to maintain SVCA facilities and amenities in a state of cleanliness and sanitation. • Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and shower facilities including restocking/refilling paper products as needed. • Cleans and vacuums meeting rooms, offices, locker rooms and rental facilities as needed. • Maintains floors including vacuuming, stripping, waxing, mopping, and buffing as needed. • Dusts/cleans furniture, windows, walls, and fixtures as needed. • Maintains inventory of custodial supplies and purchases materials as needed within budget. • Maintain effective working relationships with SVCA staff, board members and the public. • Gather and dispose of building and grounds trash including litter from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other common areas. • Follow procedures and specifications for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent personnel injury or building and equipment damage. • Perform minor maintenance repairs as directed by the Maintenance Manager (light bulb change; unplug toilet/sink, etc). • Notify Operations Manager of identified major repairs to building, equipment or operating systems. • Dusts/cleans furniture, walls, windowsills and fixtures. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. Work Experience/ Educational Requirements: (Suitable work experience may substitute for Educational Requirements) Minimum 1-year custodial experience Additional Requirements: • Ability to lift 50 lbs. • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Must successfully pass a background check. • Pre-employment drug screening required. • Must have a valid WA State driver’s license. • This position is a varying work schedule. It will be early morning hours and evenings for tasks that require access to offices or occupied public spaces. • Must be able to stand, bend, lift and carry or push equipment for long periods of time.
