Description

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE RESPONDING. I’m in need of some help from anyone with some spare time, a truck, & some compassion. You will be paid of course, but money is especially tight for me right now so please keep that in mind while quoting me. I’m moving out of my ex’s house and into an apartment with a roommate and I am starting from scratch. She has the living room beautifully furnished. I personally have nothing besides a mattress, but I’ve splurged on furniture using my savings and only have the most basic essentials that’ll be coming in the mail and will need to be built. So, I have 2 job offers: 1- There’s a curb alert right now that has some stuff I desperately need. Mainly there’s a dresser and desk and I don’t know how long they’re going to be there, I’m worried I’m going to miss my shot. The furniture is not far away from the new apartment. This would definitely be a long shot but if someone is able to grab it for me asap and either hold it for me until I get off work today at 5pm or move in on Friday — or better yet, drop it off to my new roommate — I’ll pay the person with the best offer and cash app/PayPal/venmo you the amount you request once it’s done. I’ll send you my social media, my phone number, whatever you need to trust me, but I really need your help. If this curb alert is missed and you live in west LA, keep an eye out for me for additional desks/dressers? If you’d be willing to scout the area for me, or let me send you curb alerts that may have items I need.... Name your price, I’ll likely go with the most reasonable offer because I’m in a tough situation right now but at the same time I’m not asking anyone for free labor during a pandemic. I need to be really smart with how I’m spending. 2- I need help putting together furniture that’s coming in the mail. I’m absolutely terrible with my hands, don’t really mess with tools at all, and overwhelmed by all of this. I’m trying to make my room a peaceful, zen-like environment. I won’t be at the location until Friday but my roommate will be there until then. If you’re able to help with assembling a TV stand, dresser, floor lamp, or whatever else is coming in the mail, please name your price &, contact information via email. I will appreciate you so much if you’re able to consider my situation & price it accordingly. Basically if you’re willing to assist in any way, please contact me with the following info: - How you can assist with obtaining / building furniture. - Name your price and please be reasonable. - For my last post, I received several emails from folks thinking I would pay them $250-300 to move one mattress 30 minutes away. I’m not trying to skimp anyone, but please be practical; there’s a reason I’m not hiring a professional moving company for one piece of furniture. - Your availability. - For example, are you able to be contacted for curb alerts that I may see throughout the week? What day/time can you put together furniture? - Contact information. - I’m best reached via email/text since I work, so please leave a phone number so I can contact you/send a text message. - Transportation information. - Only if applicable. If you’re offering to scout for/pick up furniture for me, please let me know what kind of vehicle you have. I need someone trustworthy, understanding & kindhearted for this sort of thing. ❤️ I might regret this decision but here’s the picture of the curb alert. If you’re willing to grab the dresser & desk for me, I’d really truly appreciate your kindness during this difficult time.
