HOURS Mon-Fri 2:00pm - 10:30pm (2nd shift) SUMMARY Under general supervision, monitors finishing processes in the Print Department using equipment such as a cutter, binding machine, and stitching machine. Job focus is to meet production and ad-hoc printing schedules in a timely and quality fashion on output documents to be mailed to customers (including perfect bound and saddle stitched books, envelopes and other finished material) as well as internal reports to be used throughout the company. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following): -Operate cutting, folding and binding equipment, including: Horizon Stitcher and Horizon Glue Binder, Challenge Cutter and Inkjet addressing machinery -Ensure that all output is finished per instructions and delivered in a timely and accurate fashion -Perform quality control of finished pieces, ensuring output meets quality standards -Manage job schedules -Maintain service and shift logs with required data in required timeframes -Ensure machines and workstations are maintained and kept reasonably clean -Re-order, and re-stock, supplies -Perform other duties as assigned EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS Education Requirement High School diploma or equivalent Experience Requirements 3 to 6 months working with cutting, folding and binding equipment preferred or similar mechanical aptitude Special Skill Requirements -Strong ability to listen, understand and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing -Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds -Ability to operate a manual pallet jack -Ability to handle multiple tasks -Ability to prioritize jobs -Excellent attention to detail and follow up skills; highly organized -Basic PC operation skills -Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook email -Willingness to learn -Mechanical troubleshooting skills Other: -Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested -Willing to shift schedules, as needed NO relocation offered
