The Long Bay Folk Society is always seeking mandolin, guitar, banjo, fiddle and upright bass players of all levels for our monthly jam at Huntington Beach State Park in Myrtle Beach. Come join a rag-tag of Old Time Folk Nerds playing a varied repertoire of fiddle tunes, old time, bluegrass breakdowns, old country, jigs, reels, hornpipes, train songs, murder ballads, hillbilly boogie, swing, Appalachia, sweet waltzes, Americana ballads, Civil War, campfire and folk songs. We are a low key group of amateur players, so all levels are welcome. Open to other stringed acoustic instruments. Our only motivation is the smile these old tunes put on our collective faces.
