Description
Job Responsibilities:
• Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
• Repairing and maintaining structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Responsible for 24 hours emergency maintenance.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program.
• Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping.
• Coordinate special projects as directed.
• Maintain HVAC systems (if applicable).
• Pool Maintenance (if applicable).
• Work with property manager to schedule work orders and unit turns.
• Have the tools required to complete all necessary tasks.
• Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
Maintenance qualifications
• Previous experience as Maintenance within a multifamily community
• In-depth knowledge of different building (apartment complex) systems (heating, electrical, air conditioning, ventilation etc.)
• Familiarity with relevant health and safety standards and regulations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
