Want to Start a Non-profit

Hello, I'm looking to start a non-profit that would focus on community outreach. I feel that the term is overused, but for lack of a better way to put it I want it to be a real "boots on the ground" group. Looking for individuals who need help finding jobs, medical aide, housing, or whatever it may be that they are lacking, but maybe don't know where to look or just need a little help obtaining their goals. We would be striving to build real working relationships with the community, getting to know our neighbors throughout the city and providing the help they need, or connecting them with it. I just feel that in today's world we need more personal, face to face relationship building in order to make a positive impact on the world. A non-profit that can dedicate its time to being a tangible presence of comradery without the religious aspect could make a real positive impact. I would need a diverse team, but I think we could do some good work. Reach out if you are interested. I have no experience in non-profit business startup.
