About this Role: The Warehouse Specialist supports the Sales Team for a designated location with all office, branch management, and customer support responsibilities associated with meeting customers order and service needs in the market. S/he ensures the warehouse operates successfully to meet the business goals of the organization. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the company’s values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility. Essential Job Functions: 1. Works under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations as and when needed. 2. Coordinates branch services to ensure on time accurate delivery of orders. Liaises with external transport providers. 3. Excels at customer service relationships with all clients. 4. Answers all client requests by phone and or email in a timely manner. 5. Runs internal software systems to generate sales orders. 6. Is responsible for the storage and movement of materials and finished goods including shipping & receiving, warehousing, order filling, picking, and packing. Pulls product from inventory, assembles orders including sprinkler packages and schedules freight and customer orders for pick-up. 7. Monitors warehouse inventory, maintains product supply, and generates orders from the corporate office to replenish warehouse supply, without the need for approval from the Supervisor. 8. Requires knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through experience. Education/Training Required: Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience. Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): KSA #1: Good written and verbal communication skills in English. KSA #2: Ability to set multiple goals and objectives, to set and meet timelines, and to achieve goals and objectives. Must have excellent organizational and management skills. KSA #3: Knowledge of OSHA and other related safety requirements for distribution center operations within a manufacturing industry. KSA #4: Skills in computer software to generate reports and to maintain databases. KSA #5: Forklift, pulling and palletizing orders experience highly desired. Physical Demands: Ability to walk intermittently throughout the shift to move throughout the work area. Ability to climb stairs to gain access to upper level work area. Ability to bend and crouch to move boxes to and from warehouse shelves, pallets and other storage areas. Ability to lift and carry boxes (weighing up to 50 pounds). Ability to push and pull with the arms and body to use a hydraulic pallet jack and two-wheeled dolly. Ability to push and pull with the arms upon levers and push with the feet upon foot pedals to operate a fork-lift. Ability to climb ladders to gain access to high warehouse shelves. Manual dexterity sufficient to lift and carry boxes and to grasp the handle to use a hydraulic pallet jack and two-wheeled dolly. Finger dexterity sufficient to use a writing utensil to complete paperwork activities and to use a computer. Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer, to count and verify lot numbers and quantities of parts for shipping. Work Environment: Office environment with temperature controls. Inside warehouse with no temperature controls and concrete floor. Exposure to seasonal climate. May be required to wear protective equipment.
