Wanted: General Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice/Helper Food company on the upper east side of Manhattan is seeking a hardworking and dependable individual to join our maintenance team. This is an entry-level helper/apprentice position, perfect for someone willing to learn a variety of trade work. Drivers license is required. This is an in-house position and work will be performed on the upper east side. Hours run from 8am to 4pm. Nights and weekend work may be required at times. Rate of pay will range between $15 to $20 depending upon experience and qualifications. Company offers a variety of competitive benefits as well. Experience with any of the following areas preferred but not necessarily required: *Commercial kitchen and bakery equipment *Experience with cleaning drains, grease traps and the use of a snake *Experience with light electrical work and troubleshooting *Familiar with the process of cleaning condenser and evaporator coils *Light metal fabrication *Experience with lighting and ballasts
