What to Expect on the Job: Ton’s Hauling provides moving and junk removal services. About 70% of our work is hauling away old furniture/appliances like couches, mattresses, dressers, refrigerators, washers & dryers etc. We go inside pretty much anywhere inside a home to remove these items, from the garage, upstairs, mainfloor and the basement. You'll normally have one other mover to assist you remove these items and load them into and off of the truck. We also pick up furniture for donation and sometimes find good furniture worth saving that we bring to a storage facility to list for sale. We are a small company, of only 3-4 employees with great reviews and we want to keep it that way. We are willing to pay the rate we do to ensure we have the right movers. We have a sub mover who can fill in for days if you don't wish to work 6 days per week. Please discuss hours and availability during your interview. What’s Expected: • No CDL Required (if you can drive a uhaul truck, you can drive our 16’ box truck. • Ability to work long hours, When necessary. (some days we are out 12 hours but not usual) • Comfortable driving a 16’ moving truck • Valid driver’s License with a good driving record. • Looking for a strong and careful mover. • Experience preferred: How to use box dollies, appliance dollies, four wheelers, hump straps and how to wrap furniture pads around furniture to avoid damaging customer's items. • Calling every customer before heading over to their residence. • Take photos of furniture and send to Manager for every donation pick up. First 3 months pay starts at $17/HR and if you're doing things well and showing up on time and not skipping days you'll receive $1,000-$2,000 bonus at the end three months and a raise to $20/HR. A raise each year after depending on performance. What not to do: Showing up late. Missing a day of work without requesting 3 days in advance. Absolutely no smoking weed before or during work. You get to go house to house, meet new people, move furniture easily into our trailer and chuck them out at the dump. Lots of the time you are driving in the truck.
