SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Suffolk County residents were warned to stay off of frozen waterways by Suffolk police. The police department took to Twitter on Tuesday to suggest residents avoid walking, skating, sledding and driving on frozen lakes, streams, rivers and ponds due to thin ice. As the temperatures continue to drop, the Suffolk County Police Department reminds residents to stay off of frozen lakes, streams, rivers and ponds.
