WEST HAVEN, CT — Trash and recycling pickups are on schedule for the rest of the week, according to West Haven Public Works Commissioner Tom J. McCarthy. "Please be patient during the snow removal process; every neighborhood will be plowed," McCarthy wrote in a post on Facebook. "Also, residents and businesses are reminded to shovel sidewalks on and bordering their properties within 24 hours or face a $25 fine 'for each day that the violation persists,' per the 'Removal of Snow and Ice' ordinance under Chapter 195 of the West Haven Code.
