But the storm was winding down, and so the town's snow emergency/parking ban, in effect after 1 p.m. Monday, ended at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Check arlingtonma.gov for updates. Forecasts call for eight to 12 inches of snow to fall in the Arlington area, Patch, a YourArlington partner, has reported Feb. 2. The National Weather Service reports 8.5 inches have fallen in Middlesex County. Feb 2: No Trash Collection; one-day delay rest of weekOn Tuesday, Feb. 2, there will be no collection of trash. Collections will resume on a one-day delay the rest of the week. Please note that trash and recycling bins covered in snow will not be collected.Feb 2: Town officesTown Hall administrative offices remote until noon.Feb 2: Robbins, Fox librariesOn-site services remain suspended. All reserve materials pickup at the library, including contactless pickup, is suspended during closure. Virtual programs and reference services are available. During a storm, all are encouraged to exercise caution when traveling and park off-street to help facilitate snow removal operations and monitor local media for weather updates. After a storm, residents and businesses are reminded to keep public walkways clear in accordance with Town bylaws. Any snow emergency/parking ban notification will be sent via the usual Town communication channels, including Arlington Alerts (phone, text, email). Yard waste covered in snow will not be collected: Arlington's yard waste program will end during the week of Dec. 7-11 on your regular collection day.
