Snowstorm Interrupts Coronavirus Vaccines, Tests In Anne Arundel

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Anne Arundel County Department of Health canceled all its coronavirus vaccination and testing clinics scheduled for Tuesday morning. The Tuesday testing site at Shipley's Choice Medical Park will also be canceled. The health department runs this location with the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Health officials announced the postponements Monday evening as a winter storm lingers over Maryland. The Department of Health will notify everybody who had a reservation by phone or email and explain the rescheduling process. Appointments slated for Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday are expected to continue as scheduled. Residents can stay up to date with the latest alerts from the Anne Arundel County Health Department on the agency's Facebook, Twitter and website. Locals can also dial the coronavirus hotline at (410) 222-7256. TTY users can call 7-1-1 via Maryland Relay. The aforementioned changes only affect the Anne Arundel County Department of Health's locations. All of the organization's immunization sites are listed here. Its testing clinics are posted at this link. Anybody who has an appointment at another site should check in with that provider. As of 9 p.m. Monday, the Maryland Department of Health has not yet announced vaccination or testing changes for Tuesday. For the latest information, check the agency's Facebook, Twitter and website.
