A free, community Egg Hunt will be offered on Saturday, March 27th
The City of Oak Ridge Recreation & Parks Department will host several free Community Egg Hunts around the city at the same time on Saturday, March 27th at 11am. Families are asked to pre-register for one "family ticket" at one of our locations. Space will be limited to ensure COVID measures can be achieved. Masks are highly recommended. One option will be for curbside pick-up. In the event of rain, all hunts will be hosted as curbside pick-up events.
PLEASE ONLY REGISTER FOR ONE LOCATION. ALL HUNTS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE SAME TIME ACROSS THE CITY ON SATURDAY, MARCH 27th, 2021.
By registering, your name will be added to our guest list. Each family ticket is good for up to 8 people to attend. We will be sectioning off areas of the park to distance families from other families before the hunt begins.
The Hunt: When the whistle sounds, the hunt will begin! We ask that only the children (age 4 - grade 4) enter the area to find eggs. Children with special needs are allowed to have one assistant enter the hunt area with them. Please keep an eye on your children, but we ask that you stay on the perimeter of the field until the hunt is complete to assist with social distancing.
Curbside Pick-up: The curbside pick-up option is for families who wish to host their own hunts at home. Simply register each child so that we will prepare enough pick-up bags.
Rain Plan: If the weather impacts the event, we will host curbside pick-up at each location at the original time of the hunt. We will prepare a family-size bag of eggs for each family that pre-registered.
