Drummer and lead vocalist need some committed musical gunslingers to complete Hero of Fools, a 90s rock cover band. Guitar(s), bass, maybe even keys. We have a spacious, comfortable, climate-controlled, rehearsal studio with full P.A. We have booking/management ready to roll as soon as we get our shit together. You have all the usual requirements - transportation, reliable gear, talent, ability to attend rehearsals, and ability to do your homework between rehearsals. We are firm believers in homework. Rehearsal is not the place to learn the songs. We like to have a good time, but if you can’t moderate your drinking etc, it ain’t gonna happen. You have stage presence and personality. You don’t have be a swaggering rock star, but image and attitude still count. Its just the nature of the beast. Racists, sexists, bigots, conspiracy theorists, confederate flag-wavers etc. NEED NOT APPLY. You get the picture. We hope. Please reply with files or links to audio or video of you and your chosen instrument. Replies without audio/video will not be considered. Sorry, but we don’t have time to chase down replies with no AV. Even a cell phone video of you alone doing your best stuff will work. Our hope is to have a situation where every member has an equal say in our setlists, our gigs etcetcetc. We’re not divas, and frankly, we won’t accept any divas. We like democracy. Don’t expect the band to financially support you, because it won’t. But we will always get paid to play - split among band members and our manager. However, we can do a benefit here and there for a cause we all agree with if we so choose. We want to have fun playing music we love, but we have FT jobs and families too. This isn’t a “we’re gonna make it or die trying” situation. This is a situation where we get paid to have fun playing tunes we love to the utmost of our professional and technical abilities. Here are some of the bands that have made it into our preliminary (and totally able to be tweaked) setlists…. AIC, Soundgarden/Cornell, Collective Soul, Screaming Trees, Spacehog, Toadies, Mother Love Bone, Nirvana, STP, Temple of the Dog, Foo Fighters, Everclear, 7Mary3, Living Colour….. Interested???
