Ace of Blades is looking for a lawn maintenance crew leader for the 2021 season. Minimum of 3 years experience is required. Driver's license with a clean driving record (No DUI's or major moving violations in past 5 years) is required. References and driving record will be checked. This position requires good communication and listening skills, as you will be supervising a crew of 2-4 crew members, and working with management and other crew leaders to ensure schedules are completed. This position will require mowing and trimming and other aspects of lawn maintenance. You need to be willing to perform all aspects of lawn maintenance. Mechanical skills and knowledge recommended. Experience driving a truck and trailer required. Job Description: . Mowing, trimming, edging on primarily residential properties. (Experience operating walker GHS mowers is required) . Participation in spring and fall cleanup operations (pruning of plants/shrubbery, raking blowing leaves/plant debris, etc) · Follow Project instructions from management and execute tasks efficiently . Arrive to work early and/or work late when necessary to ensure that productivity of your crew and the department remains satisfactory . Keep accurate logs of work orders (when required) · Offer assistance and effective time in other areas of the company · Become a reliable resource for Lawn Maintenance · Keep your crew's vehicles, machinery, and tools in good repair and working order · Meet department tasks expectations . Communicate with clients, crew members, and management when needed (often at times) to ensure efficiencies within the operation of the department. · Continuously Improve knowledge, education, & industry awareness and encourage crew members to show these traits as well. . Problem solving and conflict resolution throughout the department. · Availability during winter months to participate in snow removal activities Requirements: Ace of Blades requires for this position a motivated individual with at least 2-years landscape maintenance experience. This experience must include proper operation/knowledge of mowing equipment, trimming/pruning equipment, truck and trailer (towing) experience, as well as experience in effective management of crews. Strong candidates will be able to work well following instructions from management, and making sure that crew members are working together effectively to achieve a common goal. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record to operate company vehicles. Should have good knowledge of proper landscape maintenance techniques, working knowledge of equipment, good communication skills, clean-cut personality, and willing to work in a TEAM environment. Must be willing to communicate fluently with clients (as needed) for scheduling needs or problem solving. Must be able to complete tasks expressed in the job description and be willing to participate in other activities as deemed necessary by Ace of Blades. Other: Average 45+ hours/week. Typically from 7:00 AM till 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekends may occasionally be required to accommodate clients' needs and work around weather conditions. Requirements for hire: Education &/or Degree(s): · 2 years Landscape Maintenance experience. Drivers License: · Class D License - Regular (Auto, Light Truck, Moped) Experience & Qualifications: · Have at least 2 or 3 good references · Must be able to read - understand - write English · Must be organized, capable of multi-tasking & working with others · Must proficiently communicate with clients and crew members · Have good attendance record and be on time for work · Logical and technical reasoning skills · Follow direction & work independently at times · Strong mathematical skills a plus · Dedication to Ace of Blades objectives · Subject to pre-placement drug testing and medical examination
