WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER: Competitive compensation Paid vacation and an annual bonus Health, dental and vision insurance 401K plan with company match Opportunity for fast advancement and career growth SUMMARY & SCOPE: The Tool Repair Technician will facilitate high level internal service support for in house equipment, head, and tool support efforts while also providing some local field support of equipment sold and serviced by SPSG. This position includes responsibilities of Continuous Improvement goals, conformity to corporate procedures and processes, and providing a high degree of quality workmanship. The employee may also be required to work cross departmentally on specific daily, weekly, and monthly projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: Adherence to the Safety related aspects of the position and area working within. Have a strong electrical troubleshooting skill level. Have a strong mechanical troubleshooting skill level. Have the ability to travel at times within the local market to provide customer technical support. Apply sound mechanical and electrical diagnosis of tools, heads, and equipment. Work closely with other team members to Improve and grow our Tool and Head repair operations. To have good Communication and Teamwork skills. To be able to provide consistent and high quality of workmanship. High Level adherence to work hours and be flexible to work overtime when asked to do so. The ability to provide support for all equipment trained on as assigned by Management. Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned QUALIFICATIONS: 1-3+ Years’ experience in a manufacturing, Service, or other technical environment. Ability to work unsupervised Ability to travel to local customer’s site to perform external work responsibilities. Requires availability for travel on short notice Ability to travel outside local market in times of need by any means necessary, overnight travel expectation less than 20%. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Dependable transportation and a valid US Driver’s License. The ability to operates standard shop and warehouse equipment and to assist others in the training to do so. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Be familiar with PLC functions and how they relate to the operating sequence. Dependable work history. EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE: Ability to use a laptop, smartphone and other devices normally used in conducting business via remote access in various geographic settings. Ability to retain knowledge on trained upon equipment, tools, and strapping heads WORK ENVIRONMENT: Environment can fluctuate between extreme cold and extreme hot conditions. Must be able to withstand either.
