We are growing our construction team! Apply to join us as a Construction Crew Member at Grizzly Broadband. ROLE: Construction Crew Member Work Hours: Mon - Thurs 10 hrs/day (summer), Mon - Fri 8 hrs/day (winter) Summary: The construction crew team member is responsible for all items pertaining to construction on our Fiber and Wireless Network. This individual is to be able to safely operate all machinery as well as the upkeep of the machinery they operate. A place to work physically outside?Steady work 4 days a week during spring, summer, and fall & 5 days a week in the winter?Growth Opportunities in the Industrial Arts such as excavation, directional drilling, fiber placement, fiber splicing, and all the way up to team leader?ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Preparing work sites, materials, and tools.Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.Removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites.Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding.Assisting the Construction Operations Leader and team members and as required.Assisting with transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.Regulating traffic and erecting traffic signs.Following all health and safety regulations.Digging or drilling holes, tunnels, and shafts.Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.Load or unload construction materials.Remove, fill, or compact earth.Follow instructions from your leader.Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.Perform site clean-up.Learn fiber-optic placement and splicing.Key Result Area #1 - Machinery Operations Machinery Upkeep, or make arrangements to get repairedSafely Operate MachineryKey Result Area #2 - Fiber Installation and Wireless Network Install per specified plansComplete jobs in a timely mannerOther duties as assigned.KEY ATTRIBUTES: Be healthy, strong, and fit.Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient.Extremely self-motivated with strong time management.Proactive, pragmatic, and resourceful problem solver.Trustworthy and reliable.Friendly and professional communicator.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet or beat goals.No formal qualification is required, although a high school diploma/GED may be preferred.Similar work experience may be beneficial.Willingness to undertake training if necessary.Be mild-tempered and a team player.Ability to work in all weather.Punctual.Adaptable.Commitment to the Grizzly Broadband Core ValuesDesire to join the Grizzly Broadband Mission of providing reliable internet, computer services, and technology solutions for the home or business.
