LEMONT, IL — Lemont VFW Post 5819 will host a blood drive with Versiti Blood Center of Illinois from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 27. All blood donations will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies as part of standard testing procedures, according to a flyer for the event. Donors will be notified of results on the donor portal, Versiti app, or via mail. If you are donating blood, make sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water before donating. Masks are required, as well as photo ID, the event flyer states. You can sign up online or call 734-755-7245 for an appointment.
