Seasonal nursery laborer opportunities at Bentley Ridge Tree Farm & Nursery typically provide 40+ hours a week and weekends off, unless otherwise discussed. Duties Include: · Planting trees and shrubs · Assisting daily tree-farm activities including watering, pruning, and irrigation repair · Assisting field preparation, including laying drain tile, setting pots, and installing irrigation poly · Loading and unloading plant materials · Performing various landscaping work · Mowing and string trimming · Weeding and other IPM (weed & cultural) practices Applicant Must Be: · Punctual with reliable source of transportation · Reliable · Dependable · Hard-working · Communicates well with others · Willing to learn about trees and shrubs (plant knowledge is helpful) · Able to stand and perform strenuous tasks for 8+ hours a day · Willing to learn and retain everyday work tasks · Capable of lifting 50+ pounds over long periods of time · Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. CDL is not required for this job, but applicant with CDL has potential to receive higher pay. Pay rate depends on experience.
