FRANKFORT, IL – The Village of Frankfort has launched an official Facebook page as part of its continuing effort to enhance community outreach, the village said in a release. Residents and community members can "like" the page at @VillageofFrankfortIL. According to the village, the page is an extension of the Village of Frankfort's website and is intended to provide information on Village meetings and events. "Several trustees have been advocating for the Village to have a social media presence," Mayor Jim Holland said in a release. As part of an improved communication strategy, we decided to upgrade our website to a more user-friendly format, and now we are launching a Facebook page. The upgraded website was completed last quarter and this quarter we are proceeding with the Facebook page. We hope that adding this channel of communication enhances the communication and information flow from the village to our residents."
