Over the last two decades he has grown a heart for versatility, having received formal dance training and 2 B.A.’s from Arizona State University, as well as a RYT-200 Yoga Certificate from SWIHA. Trained in Hatha with Anusara influence, his own practice in recent years has been tethered to the early morning disciplines of Mysore. As an instructor he enjoys flow, power flow and any Asana involving arm balances and inversions. Instructor, choreographer, competitor, performance artist, poet and model, his pursuit of so many artistic avenues simultaneously speaks for his devotion to his creative engine. Since 2015 he has served as Faculty Associate at ASU, and Adjunct Faculty at MCCCD, teaching dance and yoga. The limbs of Yoga have been major contributors to his personal healing, from a chronic lumbar injury as a teenager, to a 2019 motorcycle accident that left him handicapped and out of work. Breaking, popping, tutting, hand balancing, experimental, and especially Asana have influenced his movement artistry, which can be observed in his photos and prints. His passions kneaded into a diverse kind of practice, which led him to cross-pollinate all he had accumulated. The outcome: A fresh and unique presentation of creative, dynamic, intentional movement.
