Press release from the City of Monrovia: February 01, 2021 Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Case: 020-00110-3199-011 Monrovia Police Department Case: 20-017242 On December 23, 2020, at approximately 2019 hours, Monrovia police officers responded to Al's Liquor, 412 W. Duarte Rd in Monrovia regarding a male subject who had just suffered a fatal gunshot wound inside of the business. The suspects fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau and Monrovia Police Department Detectives responded to conduct the homicide investigation. UPDATE: As of January 28, 2021, two of the suspects have been identified and taken into custody. The suspects have been identified as Deon Armstrong-Williams from Duarte and Trayvon Dixon from Azusa. The case was presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives and murder charges were filed.
