DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — A total of 26,406 residents in Dakota County have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Of those, 6,848 residents — or 1.6 percent of the county — have received both doses.
In Minnesota overall, 447,610 people have received at least one dose. Nearly 117,000 people, or 2.1 percent of the state, have received both doses.
Walz: 35K MN Seniors Can Get Coronavirus Vaccine This Week
More than 35,000 Minnesotans who are 65 and older will have access to COVID-19 vaccines this week, Gov. Tim Walz announced Monday. The governor called the two-week pilot to test the state's community vaccination clinics a success, and will now move forward with an "all-of-the-above" approach to distribute the vaccine.
