Construction Foreman/Superintendent: New Mexico construction and remodeling company is seeking a full-time hire who is self-motivated, independent, dependable, and a strong communicator to be a working Foreman/Superintendent based in Albuquerque, NM. As a working Foreman/Superintendent, you will hold a supervisory role for the on-site and day to day operations of ongoing projects. In addition to performing trade level work (trim carpentry, painting, drywall, installation of doors and windows, wood framing, flooring, and light plumbing) this position is responsible for field coordination of the project and holds the keys to scheduling. Making sure each trade is on schedule. The superintendent works hand in hand with our project manager to keep the project rolling as smoothly as possible. This position requires strong work planning, scheduling, and staff management skills to execute field construction projects within scopes, schedules, to meet contract requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Supervises projects to completion • Responsible for enforcement of all staff and client Health and safety requirements. • Directs field personnel, equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors engaged in construction to prevent delay and keep project progress on track. • Complete required field documentation daily and accurately. • Responsible for ensuring that all Requests for Information (RFI’s) are identified and completed. • Strong command of means and methods for all construction types • Anticipate and proactively minimize schedule conflicts, field conditions, and ensure daily activities conform to schedule. • Completes initial accident investigation documentation and applicable after actions including (development of standard operating procedures (SOP). • Attends site walks • Use computer-based programs to input daily logs, photos and update project schedule. • Ability to self-recognize and initiate efficiency improvements. • Works directly with project management to establish long and short-term goals. • Responsible for supervision and career development of junior staff. Minimum Qualifications: • 1 plus years of experience in direct employee supervision. • 3 plus years of experience in residential and commercial construction. • Multi-disciplinary construction experience.
