The event will include presentations, Q&A, and a live survey. Reimagining Berkeley's BART stations This project aims to re-imagine the Ashby and North Berkeley BART stations as vibrant places that include housing, open space, and community amenities. Planning for development at these stations is a multi-year, multi-phase process. We are working with BART to create zoning and site planning parameters that reflect a shared community vision for future development. As the property owner, BART will ultimately select the developer and oversee construction for each site. However, land use rules set by the City will shape how these developments look and what types of businesses and amenities they can include. This planning effort is supported by a community advisory group and builds upon community engagement processes that have been underway for several years, including the recently completed Adeline Corridor Plan.
