East End Furniture Store is seeking a flexible, dependable and motivated individual to join our team. Contemporary Galleries is a family owned and operated business since 1971 and we offer flexibility, independence and a rewarding atmosphere and will never treat you as a number Furniture Delivery & Preparation: Deliver and install furniture to customers and retail showroom in a timely and efficient manner. Mainly residential deliveries with some commercial applications. Occasional driving of 26' box truck- No CDL required We offer top notch white glove delivery to our customers Assembly and preparation of merchandise at the warehouse or at the customer's location Other duties: unloading freight trucks, assembly of furniture, warehouse maintenance and showroom rearrangement Benefits These benefits become effective after a 60 day probation period 50% of health insurance premium paid for single or family coverage 50% of dental insurance premium paid for single or family coverage Closed all major holidays-5 of which are paid 5 days of paid vacation time at 1/year anniversary 10 days of paid vacation time at 2/year anniversary 15 days of paid vacation time at 10/year anniversary One paid sick day for every 6 months of non-missed work Bereavement pay Uniform shirts are provided Discounts on purchase of merchandise Working Hours: Warehouse is located off of Collins Lane and Westport Road and our deliveries are run out of this location with working hours of Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 3pm Occasional ability to work past 3:00pm if deliveries are running late. Flexibility to work other days Occasional Overtime Skills required: Ability to proficiently use tools with hands Team Player, Hardworking, Self-motivated, communication skills Interpersonal and Professional Skills Ability to perform basic Mathematics Ability to understand and interpret assembly directions Educational requirements: High School Diploma Physical Requirements: Ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time Ability to position merchandise by oneself (not exceeding 75 lbs) in the manner of lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, kneeling, walking, carrying and using steps over a consistent period of time Ability to assemble furniture with the use of your hands and tools Ability to work in all types of weather: heat, cold, snow, rain Licensing or Other Conditions Required: Driver's License DOT physical-CDL is not required for our size truck-company paid Drug test-company paid Background check-company paid
