TEMPE, AZ — A man died in a shooting Monday night in Tempe, police said. The Tempe Police Department said officers were called to the area near Southern and Mill Avenues at 7:10 p.m. When they arrived, a man was found with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital, where he eventually died. According to its statement, Tempe police do not believe this was a random act of violence. An investigation is currently underway. No other details were immediately available.
