GWINNETT, GA — Fire crews in Gwinnett responded to several structure fires over the weekend, including a blaze that badly damaged a home. The department on Saturday posted several photos to Twitter from the scene of a fire that broke out in a town house and caused moderate damage. According to the post, the fire began in the water heater/utility closet of a town house located in Windy Hill Point in Lawrenceville. The fire led to moderate damage in the home, the fire department said. The Red Cross responded to help residents. Half of the barn, a 50- by 100-foot structure, was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters responded on Sunday morning, the department said.
