BIRMINGHAM, AL — Three Birmingham police officers sustained injuries when their police cruisers crashed during the pursuit of a stolen vehicle Tuesday. Two people are in custody after the chase. Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said two patrol cars collided in the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Junior Drive while they were chasing the stolen vehicle. Mauldin said the officers's injuries are not life-threatening. Today officers were injured while in pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
