We are a locally owned company with a 20 year history and reputation for building quality custom homes. This position is for a hands-on experienced residential General Construction Laborer. We build and remodel custom homes in the Incline Village/North Tahoe and Reno areas. Job Duties: • Performs a variety of construction related duties typically associated with those in a support role and/or physical labor. • Provides support to carpenters, electricians, plumbers, tile setters and others working on a construction job site. • Hauls, carries, lifts, hoists and otherwise responsible for the transportation of typical construction materials utilized on residential job sites e.g. lumber, plywood, cement bags, siding, decking, insulation, etc. • Performs demolition tasks such as removing walls, windows, doors, framing, concrete, decking and other such structures and materials. • Installs misc. protectant materials to cover floors, cabinets, windows, doors, appliances and other items from damage during the construction process. • Keeps the job site clean and free of debris to eliminate hazardous conditions. Transports debris and trash to the dump. • Erects scaffolding, dismantle concrete forms, disassemble shoring, barricades and other temporary structures. • Grind, scrape, sand, polish, chip and otherwise prepare surfaces as directed. • Lays out, collects, organizes cords, tools, materials and hardware as required during different phases of the construction process. • Familiar with and comfortable operating a variety of standard construction power tools, hand tools and equipment e.g. skill saws, chop saws, nail/glue/caulk guns, roto-hammers, mixers, drills, etc. The tasks outlined above are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities as may be required. Requirements: • Reliable and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team with relevant job experience. • Must have own standard tools and equipment • OSHA 10 safety card (REQUIRED TO BRING TO INTERVIEW) • Valid Driver’s License is a MUST • Speaks and understands English clearly • Proper documentation to work legally in the United States • Reliable transportation, winter driving conditions are to be expected • Must be willing to drive to and from work sites in the North Tahoe and Reno area • Physically able to lift & perform the required duties & tasks associated with construction tasks Standard 40 hr./week Mon-Fri work schedule 8:30AM to 4:30PM Job Type: Full-time Probation Period: 90 Days from Date of Hire. Absences will NOT be tolerated during this period unless previously approved.
