Families Needed!
-Do you have a 5- to 9-year-old child?
-Have you and your spouse or partner been living together with your child for at least a year?
-Are you fluent in English?
-Are you interested in participating in psychology research?
The Family & Development Lab at Providence College—under the direction of Dr. Kelly Warmuth, Assistant Professor of Psychology—is currently recruiting families for an online study exploring how family relationships influence child development.
If you choose to participate, you and your partner will be asked to complete online questionnaires about yourself, your child, and your relationship with your partner (1–1.5 hours). Questionnaires can be completed in multiple sittings and on any internet-capable device. In addition, with parent permission, your child will be asked some questions about their perceptions of conflict in the family and complete some puzzles over video chat (parents may be present during this).
Each parent will receive $25 for completing online questionnaires (for up to $50 total per family), with the potential for another $30 in a year if you agree to fill out some online questionnaires which will allow us to see what has changed for your family.
