Job Description Flooring lead SCOPE: MSP Custom Hardwood is a local flooring company serving the Minnapolis/St Paul metro area. We are looking to expand rapidly in the next 12-24 months. We have immediate need to hire lead and apprentice flooring installers and sanders. This is your chance to start with a small company that will expand rapidly and give you immense opportunity for professional growth. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Cleaning and prepping of construction sites by removing debris, garbage etc. -Install sheet products to make the floor level. -When required, sand, stain and refinish existing hardwood floors. -Maintaining a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily. -Handling materials such as wood, plastic, paint, drywall, roofing materials etc. -Must not have restrictions to working with these types of materials. -Trouble shoot and solve the building problems that occur on every project. -Must see the entire project so you can plan the installation and keep the apprentice effective. -Must manage materials to get the job done professionally. -Manage and maintain the company assets including a vehicle. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: 3-5 year experience installing/refinishing hardwood flooring; High School Diploma or equivalent; Extensive knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, safety and applicable building codes; Demonstrated project coordination experience; Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs; Results driven with ability to meet deadlines; Strong customer service skills; excellent verbal communications skills; Basic understanding of email and work order systems; Valid U.S. drivers license with a good driving record; Energetic and positive with a sharp eye for detail; Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience
