FOCUS GROUP -- Jury Research Project

We are looking for 6-8 individuals to participate in a virtual jury decision-making project (Focus Group) in YORK COUNTY, South Carolina. You will be paid a $65.00 visa gift card. The focus group will take place by ZOOM on Monday, February 8, 2021. It will begin at 2:00 p.m.; we expect the focus group to last approximately 3 hours. Participants will listen to and evaluate brief presentations of a real lawsuit that has been filed in YORK COUNTY. Our intention is for you to decide the outcome of the case. Everyone who has participated in these projects reports them to be extremely interesting, enjoyable, and worthwhile. You must be able to use Zoom as this is a virtual focus group. You do not need any qualifications or expertise to participate, only the ability to listen to both sides of a dispute and being as fair as you can be. To participate, you MUST BE a resident YORK COUNTY, SC. You must be able to hear, read, and write English without assistance. Candidates cannot be currently on-call or selected for jury duty.
