FIELD LABORERS   A Field Laborer is an unskilled to semi-skilled worker who clears and prepares sites for construction projects and the installation of water, storm and sewer lines.   Responsibilities   • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
