Description
Both males and fully grown, around 1.5 years. I had intended to breed this species, but I ended up not getting any females.
The one that dislikes handling is very jumpy and high-strung, and would do best as a look-don't-touch pet. He does eat very well from tongs.
The other is calmer and not as prone to jump out of your hands, he's a bit like a young leopard gecko to handle. Eats good from tongs as well.
I've seen some people keeping pictus in desert-type setups with sand, but they live in humid burrows, leaf litter, and undergrowth. I keep them on bioactive soil at 70percent humidity and they do great. Warm end 88 degrees, cool end 78.
I have them in 6qt totes due to space limitations, but they would do best in 10+ gallon setups, great candidates for planted displays. I will include their bioactive setups, a bromeliad pup, and pothos cutting free if you would like. Substrate has springtails and a few species of isopods.
$75 rehoming fee each. Eating dusted Red Runners and Dubia roaches.
