NICNE’s five-course Certificate in Nonprofit Management program will teach you the skills needed to strengthen your organization and better achieve your mission. Instructor: Lori Berkes-Nelson is the Executive Director of the Rockford Park District Foundation. She has been securing philanthropic support and enhancing awareness of the Rockford Park District's benefits to the community since 2014. Lori is a natural born networker who believes in the importance of intentional and motivational leadership. She has devoted her professional life to non-profit viability through successful leadership, board development, strategic planning, fundraising and marketing. She has over 25 years of non-profit management experience including prior leadership roles at Rosecrance, Golden Apple Foundation and Econ Illinois. Lori holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Northern Illinois University and has earned the credential of Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). **This is one of five courses in the Certificate in Nonprofit Management Program. Take any of the five courses a la carte or complete the entire series. Courses may be taken in any order. Upon successful completion of all five courses (90% overall attendance) participants will receive a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from The Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence at Northern Illinois University.
