WELLESLEY, MA — Wellesley commuters will have one more option to get around town and to trains and bus stops. The MWRTA announced that it would launch a new public curb-to-curb transit system this month. CatchConnect is the new app that will launch on Feb. 15. The transit service allows users to book a ride in the Cat bus and be dropped off in any location in Wellesley. The MWRTA is waiving fares for the service right now and customers will receive a $3.00 promotional credit when they sign up that can be used once fare collection has resumed. The service is only available within Wellesley and runs from 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. The service is open to the public, and you do not have to be an existing MWRTA Ride customer to use this service. Due to COVID-19, all passengers have to wear a proper face covering for the whole trip. Trips are currently limited to 1 party of up to 3 people at a time to align with social distancing regulations.
