Description
PARRISH, FL — A Manatee County man was among the U.S. Capitol rioters mocked during "Saturday Night Live's" first episode of 2021.
A quarantine game night sketch featuring show host John Krasinski included a nod to 36-year-old Parrish man Adam Johnson, who became known as "Lectern Guy" across social media when a photo of him carrying a U.S. House lectern during the Jan. 6 Capitol building riot went viral.
He faces several felony charges, including one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, one count of theft of government property, and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
In the sketch, a group of friends and neighbors — a "quarantine pod" — is settling in for game night, when there's a knock at the door. One of the friends, Brad, opens the door thinking it's the pizza guy. But it's really an FBI agent there to arrest him for participating in the Capitol riot. One by one, we learn about each of the guests' secrets pertaining to the siege.
Though they don't mention Johnson by name, look for an appearance of his stolen lectern.
