We are hiring a couple of grill and yard equipment assemblers for our hardware stores. We are looking for part time workers (with sometimes 40+ hours work available), men and women, who enjoy building things. This job is open to people of all ages over 18. No experience required. We will teach you. We will provide you with paid on the job training for the first 40 hours. The average assembler will earn $15-$20 per hour on piecework. Assemblers are paid for each item they assemble. The more efficiently and the more items we assemble the more money we make. We typically work at each store once or twice a week. It takes about 6-10 hours to assemble everything that is needed for a store's assembly appointment. We assemble their BBQ grills, wheelbarrows, tool chests, patio furniture, carts, patio heaters, fire pits, etc. Anything that comes in a box and requires assembly we assemble for them. All assembly takes place inside the stores. We do not deliver and assemble. The hours are generally 7AM-5PM weekdays, but you can start earlier or later in most cases. We have an official start time of 9am and you will need to arrive by 9am with some exceptions. We are not currently hiring afternoon, evening and weekend only shifts. We are looking for a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, but you can work as much as you want when work is available. The amount of work available depends on the seasonal workload and your ability to commute. Requirements and details: Able to lift 50 lbs. Must be at least 18 years old. Must own a cordless power tool and other basic tools. A battery-operated Impact Driver is highly recommended, but a battery-operated drill will be acceptable to get you started. Must have access to reliable transportation. Pay is based on piecework after the paid on the job training. Payday is every 2 weeks via direct deposit or mailed check.
