The Logistics Manager within the Lab Services Division is focused on team management, customer service, package receipt, service quality assurance, and on-site delivery tasks. This energetic and detail-oriented person will be part of a larger biotech services company, providing fast-paced inbound and shipping needs for multiple tenants via the operation of multiple Shipping & Receiving locations.  This role is for a Full-Time (40 hour/week), Non-Exempt, Hourly S&R position. This position is primarily based in South San Francisco but will include oversight into San Mateo and other nearby areas. Hiring and Employment Requirements Legally allowed to work in California Service hours are generally 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday, but must be available to work within the core business hours of 7AM to 6PM, and availability for evenings/weekends as dictated by ad-hoc S&R needs. Valid Driver's License. Reliable personal transportation required Company-sponsored relocation: not available Physical Requirements: Significant standing, walking, moving, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling, pushing, and pulling. Ability to move and lift boxes up to 50lbs without assistance. Must pass a pre-employment background check, driving record check, and drug screen Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. New S&R employees must wear personal protective footwear that meets the standards for ASTM F2412-18a Standard Test Methods for Foot Protection for compression resistance and impact resistance. Available company-paid medical insurance as well as optional dental and vision insurance Company-Paid Vacation, with increases commensurate with tenure Company-Paid Holiday & Sick Leave 401(k), 100% vested with available company match Typical Work Responsibilities Receiving and logging packages (both inbound and outbound), and delivering to on-campus locations in a professional and efficient manner. Executing goods security and ensuring proper materials handling of all S&R materials by Logistics team members Ensuring service coverage of logistics facilities through team scheduling, on-site backup support Acting as a point of contact with customer personnel, including onboarding new personnel, troubleshooting, and resolving escalated customer issues Coaching and developing team members to ensure the best customer service experience possible Drafting, implementing, and updating Work Procedures and SOPs  Operating and coordinating inventory & maintenance of logistics equipment and materials, including forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, dollys, scanners, computers Traveling between work sites as necessary for client meetings and quality control Minimum Training, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and/or Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Prior leadership/supervisory experience.
