About the Company: Small design and construction company, about 20 people, doing projects in the East Bay and North Bay. Description: Our ideal candidate is someone who wants to work in a hands-on environment and work closely with our in-house design and construction teams. We are a small and growing firm which requires our staff to be flexible in tasks, problem solving, and schedule. The primary responsibilities are assisting construction crews (2 crews of 2-3 people) in the East Bay region. Tasks may include troubleshooting repairs on site, material ordering and delivery, developing and constructing solutions for elements of design. When work is less available in the East Bay, some job site work with crews in North Bay will occur. Responsibilities: • Visit 2-3 projects daily to check-in with foreman and subcontractors • Update Construction Manager and Project Managers daily on site status • Assist with scheduling and meeting subcontractors and inspectors • Order material and deliver materials to sites • Gather labor and material information for change orders • Troubleshoot repairs on site • Develop and construct solutions on site • Assist with estimating • Knowledge of building and construction practices and building codes • Read and understand building and landscape plans • Carpentry for interior remodels and landscape structures • Ability to troubleshoot carpentry solutions on site • Ensure the quality and productivity of the project • Hold safety meetings for crews in the East Bay and North Bay every 10 days Skills and Proficiencies: • 5+ years construction management experience • Driver’s license required • High school degree required • Bachelors degree or comparable preferred • Able to work in the East Bay and North Bay • Able to lift 50 lbs • Able to follow instruction and safety protocols • Work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in basic computer skills and with MS Office (MS Excel and Word) and Google email • Proficiency in English • Proficiency in Spanish preferred Benefits for Full Time Employees Includes: • Healthcare • Long Term Disability • Paid Time Off • Compensation starts at $25/ hour and depends on experience • Use of company truck, trailer and bobcat Please submit your resume via the craigslist email.
