I’ve been finding/repairing leaks and working underwater to repair swimming pools and spas for over 23 years and running my own business doing so for the last 14 years. I hired my first apprentice/employee last year and am looking to add another team member to share and train my wealth of knowledge with in this very niche market. This can be an incredibly rewarding career for the right individual. I will highly prioritize hiring someone with swimming pool knowledge/experience, especially pool plumber skills with skimmer replacement and underground plumbing repair knowledge/ability. We work out of Novato and service Marin and Sonoma Counties. YOU MUST: Have a strong work ethic with attention to detail. Be great with your hands and have the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Take pride in your work and be safety conscious. Have excellent written/verbal communication skills and a good sense of humor. Be a strong swimmer. Be able to move/stand on your feet for long hours, regularly get up and down from kneeling position, work on your knees for long periods, and lift/carry 60 lbs.(regularly) up to 100 lbs. (very rarely) Have a valid CA DL and clean record. You will need to submit a DMV record as part of the hiring process. ***Understand and appreciate what it means to work in a very small company and be willing to do what is necessary to help build it. PLUS ATTRIBUTES: Swimming pool equipment, plumbing, and operational knowledge. Concrete and plaster experience. Electrical/electrician experience. Pneumatic air compressor and tool experience. Dive certification- I will train the right person if needed. I’m much less concerned about your ability to dive as I am your ability to work hard, do really good work, and learn a new skills. The diving is the easy part. Work is full time but may have potential for part-time (3 day week). We can discuss if needed.
