NOW ENROLLING (Ages 10-15): Summer Camp at Halcyon, presented by Love GOGA & Mindful Seeds Monday, June 7th – Friday, June 11th (9am–11am daily)$199 per child | Ages 10-15 Click here to sign the mandatory participation waiver upon registration. Could your child benefit from some fresh-air, relaxation and fun in the sun? Sign them up for Summer Camp at Halcyon, a five-day youth mindfulness program geared toward engaging and enriching “the whole child” – mind, body and spirit. At the beginning of each day, one of our professional yoga instructors will guide everyone in a fun, kid-friendly yoga session, followed by breakout groups for DIY crafts, immersive lessons, outdoor activities and excursions. Daily themes and activities are as follows: Day #1: Love. Peace. GratitudeParticipants will: Create their own “Joyful Jars” and DIY essential oil roller balls;Practice breathing exercises and acts of kindness;Learn the importance of thinking before you act, and skills for happiness and wellbeing;Experience an interactive book reading of “A Job For Max.”Day #2: Caring for Ourselves & Farm AnimalsParticipants will: Create their own hand cleanser;Practice self-care, and caring for animals;Learn the importance of grooming themselves, and how to care for and protect animals;Experience grooming and feeding goats from Atlantis Dream Farm.Day #3: Nutrition & Eating WellParticipants will: Create their own trail mix;Practice eating mindfully with healthy snacks;Learn what it means to be “hangry,” and how to properly fuel their bodies and minds;Experience the difference between mindful eating and mindless eating.Day #4: JOURNALING 101Participants will: Create their own journal entries using found leaves and other items;Practice mindfulness on a trail walk and collect items for their journal;Learn how to journal, and the benefits of journaling often;Experience the natural beauty of the Big Creek Greenway.Day #5: Gardening & GrowingParticipants will: Create their own DIY fairy garden;Practice gardening on a small scale;Learn the difference between organic/non-organic, what can be grown and what can be fed to animals from a garden;Experience sampling different kinds of herbs.***Please Note: Each weekly camp session is limited to 30 participants; and a minimum of 20 participants will be required in order to hold the session.
