The Covid 19 Pandemic has had a devastating effect on people, one of which is the availability of food and the basic items for daily living. Staggering numbers of our neighbors are in need of food due to their unemployment, the breakdown of the national food supply chain and the skyrocketing cost of the basic necessities. Our local Food Bank shelves are almost bear. To help restock the shelves the Brookfield Lions are hosting a Food Drive this Saturday February 6, 2021, from 10AM to 2 PM at the Brookfield Market 277 Wishconier Rd. Some of the items that could be donated are: canned soup, chili and stew; cereal, tuna fish, canned chicken, small canned hams, pasta, beans (fresh and canned), coffee, tea, bottled water, shelf stable milk, paper towel, laundry detergent, dish detergent, cleaning supplies, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner.
