Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Monday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District. The Northeast Health District added 125 new COVID-19 cases on Monday and eight deaths from the disease.The seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths increased—breaking 10 confirmed deaths from the disease per day for the first time.One of the confirmed deaths was in Clarke County.Area hospitals reported an increase in COVID-19 patients, a decrease in ICU beds in use, and an increase in adult ventilators in use.The state reported administering 30,833 doses of the COVID-19 vaccines on Monday, and an additional allocation to the state of 250,950 doses of the vaccine.For details and for state comparisons, please click through to Oconee County Observations.
